Rotary Park Kindergarten

1978 Rotary Park Kindergarten was opened

We are a smaller kindergarten on the hill with approximately 40 families.  We offer children and families a welcoming friendly atmosphere.  Our parents are very supportive of the kindergarten, they frequently stay to help and offer their skills and expertise, and take an active part in the programme.  Children play and learn in a well resourced caring environment and benefit from a programme that has learning at its core.

We provide a purposeful programme that reflects bicultural and multicultural perspectives. Our outdoor area is unique with its huge grassy areas, harakeke, trees, tui and bellbirds.  It is a natural environment that promotes physical skills.  We are receipients of the Healthy Heart Award, encouraging children to make healthy choices.  We incorporate a perceptual motor programme that encourages children's physical skills in readiness for school.  We are clean, green and into recycling to reduce waste.
